Community Connections
These are local practitioners and services I wholeheartedly recommend to assist you during your pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. My aim is to nurture not only you but also the sense of community that surrounds you. Explore these resources to support your family's well-being and to connect with caring professionals in Taranaki.
Active Birth Taranaki
Active Birth Taranaki is a group of parents who understand the need for positive birth education and support. We are a not-for-profit community group built on the intention of sharing information and inspiration on the wide range of ways that birth can be approached. Whether it be home-birth,
hypno-birthing, water-birth, ecstatic-births, natural-hospital births or women-centred caesareans.
You can feel confident that we have lived the experiences and we’re here to share our stories and provide you with support. Our 'Choices in Childbirth Classes' are designed to empower parents to experience positive childbirth. Book online via the website.

Flourish
Flourish is the result of a collaboration of passionate Taranaki people and their associated community groups, wanting to connect whanau and children (pre-birth to 13 years) to applicable services, and create something special within our community which could not be achieved alone.
Flourish is here to improve overall well-being, by enabling Taranaki whānau and their children to holistically flourish through support, growth, connection, and play.
Flourish wants everyone to be able to ride the inevitable struggles of parenting and to not feel isolated, or left wanting when they reach out. Flourish wants our children, and their children, to live in a strong, resilient, and connected community, whereby families have easier access to the support they need, in order to create their own best possible environment. We welcome you to come and join our Flourish whānau – your support, experience, ideas and thoughts about all things parenting will hold a valid space.
